Message from the principal

At ISWB we believe that the most effective school environment is the combination of place, purpose and people through which all learning happens: the unique town of Walvis Bay where we are situated, the authenticity of the tasks students are asked to perform, and the people - the classmates and teachers - who are as central to an education as any curriculum or school.

With 400 students in Pre-Primary to IGCSE and A-Levels, ISWB teachers, consultants or coaches are passionate and curious, whether they teach students who sit shoulder-to-shoulder in class, laboratory or art studio, or play out on a sports field, field trip or participating in a school play, we are passionate to inspire students every day to fulfill their potential.

Our purpose remains clear: to educate citizens who will contribute their talents to the world in transformative ways. Whether with technology that inspires collaboration, in discussion around an intimate classroom table, or in cheerful play outside of school, the ISWB team of educators is there to explore and develop each student to become the person he or she was meant to be.

Children coming into the school bring with them a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the world around them. It is our aim to build on this knowledge and promote a willingness and enthusiasm to learn more.
